Affirmuse User Guidelines

Welcome to the Affirmuse User Guidelines (“User Guidelines”). These apply when using Affirmuse’s website, applications, and services (“Services”), including accessing any music, content, or other materials available through these Services (“Content”). These guidelines are designed to keep the experience enjoyable for all users. By using our Services, you agree to comply with these guidelines.

We may update these User Guidelines from time to time, so please review the latest version on our website.

Violating these User Guidelines may result in the removal of content or material and/or the termination or suspension of your account. We aim to make our Services broadly available, but if your account has been previously terminated, you are not permitted to create a new one. Attempts to bypass prior enforcement actions, such as creating new accounts, are also prohibited.

The following activities are not permitted in relation to the Services, the Content, or any part thereof:

  1. Reverse Engineering and Derivative Works: You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, or create derivative works of the Services or Content, except where such activities are expressly allowed by applicable law. If the law permits decompiling parts of the Services or Content to create an independent program that operates with the Services or another program, the information obtained from such activities (a) may only be used for that purpose, (b) may not be disclosed without prior written consent from Affirmuse, and (c) may not be used to create software or services similar in expression to any part of the Services or Content.
  2. Automated Access: Using automated means, including bots, scripts, or spiders, to view, access, collect information, or interact with the Services or Content is prohibited. Using any part of the Services or Content to train a machine learning or AI model without our explicit permission is also forbidden.
  3. Monetization Restrictions: Selling, renting, sublicensing, or otherwise monetizing the Services or Content, except as expressly permitted, is prohibited.
  4. Intellectual Property: Removing or altering any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property notices, including for the purpose of disguising or changing ownership indications, is forbidden.
  5. Circumvention: Circumventing any technology used by Affirmuse, including territorial or content access restrictions, is not allowed.
  6. Password Sharing: Providing your password to others or using someone else’s username and password is prohibited.
  7. Manipulation: Artificially increasing play counts or other manipulation practices, including the use of bots or scripts, are prohibited.
  8. Content Alteration: Deleting or altering any part of the Services or Content, except as expressly permitted, is not allowed.

Please respect Affirmuse, the rights holders of the Content, and other users of the Services. Do not engage in any activity, post any content, or use a username that:

  • Illegal Activities: Promotes or commits any illegal act, including violations of intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or proprietary rights of Affirmuse or any third party.
  • Sensitive Information: Contains your password, another person’s password, or personal data of third parties, or solicits such information.
  • Confidentiality Breach: Exposes confidential or proprietary information of a third party.
  • Malicious Content: Includes malware, viruses, or other harmful content that could interfere with user access to the Services.
  • Misrepresentation: Impersonates or misrepresents your affiliation with Affirmuse or any other person or entity.
  • Spam: Involves unsolicited mass mailings, spam, or similar activities.
  • Unauthorized Commercial Use: You are prohibited from using the Membership for personal use to perform any commercial activities, including public performances, as outlined in our Terms of Use.
  • Disruption: Interferes with or disrupts the Services, tampers with the security systems, or attempts to probe for vulnerabilities in the Services.
